Charles Dickens (1812-1870), a writer so popular that his books have never gone out of print, has been celebrated around the world during his bicentenary. LSU professors and Dickens experts Dr. Elsie Michie and Dr. Sharon Weltman discuss their enthusiasm for his work and their involvement in the intriguing Dickens Universe conference. Mark Dunn, author of Ella Minnow Pea, talks about his new book, Under the Harrow, which uses a Dickens theme in a most interesting way, and Meghan Kelly, co-founder of the Dickens Fellowship of New Orleans, will describe that exciting new organization.
